Allow the mortar bed to dry in accordance with the instructions of the mortar bed manufacturer. Some have found success using a bed of spray foam lay it down into the soupy bed of mortar moderately press it in place then check with a level. Brush drain adhesive pvc or abs as applicable inside the drain connection located at the bottom of the drain which is integrated into the shower pan set the shower pan carefully into the mortar bed and the drain. Only rapid set thinset or any type of modified thinset or redi poxy should be used to lay tile on the pan.
